Christ's power offers rest! Luke 6:17-26.
In today's passage, Luke tells about the crowds who wanted the power of Jesus to heal their tired souls and broken spirits. Jesus then goes on to point out the things that are blessings in life and the things that easily bring hardship. This invites us to consider how our lives as Christians are easier with the power of Christ. When Christ’s power is part of our lives, we can rest, knowing that Jesus will address our needs.
Questions to ponder:
-Who is the most powerful person that you know? Is their power that of physical strength or that of influence?
-Notice the “blessings and woes.” How does Jesus's power enter into each one?
-What does victorious living mean? How can we wear the power of Christ without the power itself clouding our vision?
-How could you share the power of Christ with others?
