Sharon Witmer Yoder is a Lancaster County, Pennsylvania native and attended Lancaster Mennonite High School. After high school she attended Eastern Mennonite University and graduated from there in 1985. She married Kevin soon after in July of 1985.
Along with her husband she has served in Africa through Eastern Mennonite Missions on two separate occasions. From 1986 to 1991 they served in Somalia and from 2001 to 2007 they served in Kenya.
Sharon is mother to three girls, Ana, Alita, and Alena. Ana and Alita are students at Goshen College and Alena attends Bethany Christian High School.
Sharon enjoys reading the news, especially the BBC and local news. She also enjoys spending time with her family, biking, walking, and playing with the family pets.
Sharon, along with Kevin, began at Olive in November of 2007, with her primary responsibilities being pastoral care and congregational life.
While serving as Pastor at Olive, Sharon hopes to grow in her journey with Christ and invite others to join the journey. She also plans to continue her studies part time at seminary.
